HR and payroll teams throughout the UK remain under pressure to reduce costs, whilst at the same time delivering people management strategies to help organisations achieve their objectives.
Self-service enables employees and managers to handle many job-related tasks traditionally conducted by HR. Devolving these simple, often repetitive administrative tasks by introducing automation and workflows, helps to free up HR personnel, allowing them more time to focus on strategic human resource activities, such as talent management, which have a greater impact on workforce optimisation.
However, despite self-service being well established, adoption is by no means universal. This research seeks to identify to what extent self-service has been implemented by large UK organisations, what the benefits are and how adoption of self-service is likely to change in future years.
