Ruddington Hall
Our strong HR and payroll heritage and commitment to quality and design excellence is echoed through the building in which many of us work, Ruddington Hall.
A Brief History of Ruddington Hall
Built in 1860, Ruddington Hall is a neo-classical English country house that was originally built as a country retreat for a wealthy industrialist and banker from Bolton. It has featured in the literary works of Nikolaus Pevsner alongside Wollaton Hall and Newstead Abbey.
The Hall was purchased in 1880 by a successful American merchant and changed hands again in 1907 to fall under the ownership of Major John Ashworth. In 1931, it was purchased by a member of Nottingham’s well known newspaper and printing dynasty bef
ore being offered for use as a wartime convalescent hospital in 1940.
Ruddington Hall was converted in to office premises in 1980, and was purchased by MidlandHR [then Midland Software] in 1992. Since then, we have grown to become a leading specialist in workforce planning, talent management, HR & payroll software and outsourcing services.
All of our partnering customers and prospective customers are invited to visit the Hall to enjoy the unique combination of professionalism and innovation with traditional, striking surroundings.
