We have many experts waiting to share their thoughts and knowledge with you...too many to introduce personally here! However, here are just a few that you may already have heard of:
John Black
John will be blogging about payroll legislation and RTI. He has worked in payroll since the late 1970's and joined MidlandHR 13 years ago. He is now a Product Manager for MidlandHR: it is his responsibility to ensure that our iTrent payroll system remains legislatively compliant. This he does in conjunction with his colleague Neil Tonks, with whom he also jointly writes articles for the Industry Monitor page of the CIPP’s monthly Payroll Professional magazine. John has been a member of the CIPP since 1988 and a member of the British Computer Society Payroll Group for 13 years. He regularly speaks to audiences, providing legislative updates at MidlandHR user group meetings and training courses.
Neil Tonks
Neil will be blogging about pensions reform, rostering and workforce planning. He has been with MidlandHR since 1987, performing many roles over the years before finding a home in Product Design in 2000. Neil is a member of the CIPP and holds the CIPP Diploma in Payroll Management. As above, Neil writes articles with John Black for the Industry Monitor page of the CIPP’s monthly Payroll Professional magazine. Many would say that John and Neil are both well on their way to HR and payroll celebrity status. You can be sure that their blog posts will always be relevant to the most recent industry issues and will always be insightful. You may even get an industry scoop!
Bob Newsome
Bob has spent most of his career in payroll and HR and will spend most of his blogging time focussing on the HMRC and strategic aspects of RTI. In a former life, he was the Senior Support Analyst in one of the bigger and earlier iTrent implementations – a 30,000 employee pub company, and is currently chair of the ‘Taxpayer Data Standards Forum’ – a low profile, high impact strategic consultation forum with HMRC.Having spent most of his time recently in the Service Delivery function at MidlandHR, he is now in a more strategic support role in Sales and Marketing. He lives locally to Ruddington and enjoys a good day out, particularly if it involves a Railway and a Beer Festival. He will value any feedback and does have the opportunity to raise relevant issues at the highest levels.
