iTrent optimises Brighton & Hove City Council’s HR and Payroll Processes

05-06-2009

MidlandHR selected for five year hosting contract in line with council’s strategic objectives

Brighton & Hove City Council has selected MidlandHR’s iTrent solution to host HR and payroll services for its 12,500 employees. As part of a five year contract, iTrent has been chosen as a single, integrated and zero footprint solution, to provide significant efficiency gains. The council will implement multiple operating modules including Self-Service, utilising iTrent’s intuitive web-based dashboards.

As part of an initiative started in spring 2008, this development will support the council in achieving its core objectives. In particular, iTrent has been designed to streamline operations, reducing costs, while features such as e-payslips and electronic timesheets will complement the council’s drive to reduce its carbon footprint.

Self-Service will help to empower employees and subsequently allow the HR department to focus more proactively on strategic tasks. Integration with web recruitment will streamline the recruitment process and make sure the council continues to attract the best candidates as the recruitment market

Lawrence Knowles, managing director of MidlandHR comments: “Hosting iTrent is an excellent choice for any council looking to streamline its HR and payroll operations. This solution will support Brighton & Hove in the achievement of its corporate objectives. Being zero footprint, its intuitive dashboards can enable all users to easily access the information they are looking for and when combined with Self-Service, will deliver significant efficiency savings.

Councillor Ayas Fallon-Khan, Brighton & Hove City Council’s cabinet member for central services said: “This innovative new system will help towards the council’s drive in its commitment to becoming more efficient and to embrace the benefits of new technology. As well as offering excellent value for money, it means our staff members can get on with doing their jobs in the most cost effective manner.”
