Rostering Software

Today’s organisations increasingly make use of a flexible workforce, matching staffing levels to fluctuating demand. Part of iTrent's workforce management software suite, Rostering allows organisations to enhance workforce performance through optimised rosters.

iTrent's single web-based workforce solution allows organisations to implement end-to-end processing for Rostering, which would otherwise require costly and complex interfaces. Examples of data used from other areas of the iTrent software product include payroll, absence, skills, qualifications, training, working patterns and organisation structure components etc.

iTrent's Rostering software functionality enables the user to define, allocate and schedule task requirements, with problems such as under or over-staffing being easily identified and corrected. Using existing employee information, iTrent Rostering software distributes alerts for issues such as roster clashes with holidays and learning activities. In addition, bespoke rules such as limits on shift lengths or working hours can be modelled and the roster checked against these.

iTrent delivers a clear, easy to use graphical interface, enabling the roster to be drawn up quickly. Once the roster is complete, it can be published for employees and payments generated for payroll, which automatically take account of differing pay rates based on the days or times actually worked.

iTrent's Rostering Software enables Organisations to:

  • Align operations and resources to deliver against organisational goals
  • Ensure that people are fully equipped to deliver
  • Ensure optimum resource fit and cost optimisation for tasks
  • Manage employees' time at work and absence
  • Ensure the right skills are in the right place at the right time through optimised rosters

iTrent's Rostering features include:

  • Task definition - with qualifications, skills and other attributes required to perform them
  • Roster production - identifying suitable, available employees from 'workforce pools'
  • Configurable rules - to identify ‘conflicts’ where, for example, employees have not been allocated or allocated staff are absent at the time of the task
  • Attendance and changes capture - against the planned roster, including unpaid breaks and special pay information e.g. overtime
  • Analysis of differences - between the planned roster and actual completed work
  • Automatic feeds to payroll
  • Generation of working patterns - based on the roster allocation
  • Allows sickness and holiday entitlement adjustments - based on the time for staff on zero contracted hours
  • Life cycle definition - for rolling a series of rosters and associated tasks, enabling all tasks to be run at the click of a button
  • Roster clash management
  • Import of forecast demand information and conversion - user-defined formulas and staffing requirements
  • Automated adjustment - for local variations

MidlandHR’s iTrent software solution can be delivered as HR and payroll outsourced services, cloud-based software as a service or as an on-premise software solution.
